No, enhän minä malttanut olla aloittamatta tuota pitsistä pöytäliinaa, se on uusimmassa Dianan Virkkausmaailmassa malli nro 3. Sen malli näyttäisi sopivan niin mainiosti yhden matalan kaappini päälle. Siellä huoneessa on kaikkea muutakin vanhahtavaa. Tuota aloitellessani sain todeta, että virkkaan ilmeisesti varsin tiukkaa. En sitä silleen ole tullut ajatelleeksi, kun käytän aina sitä tiettyä virkkuukoukkua ja kalalankaa. No, nyt sit halusin jotain merseroitua tuohon työhön ja ostin Novitan Kotiväki -lankaa, vaikka en Novitan ystävä pahemmin olekaan. Siinä oli koukkusuosituksena 1.5 - 2.0 ja mallissa oli käytetty hieman paksumpaa lankaa ja suosituksena 2.0 - 2.5. Aloin sit tekemään tuota 2.0 koukulla ja tuli siitä nättiä, mutta sen verran napakkaa jälkeni oli, että liina rupesi näyttämään aikas pieneltä. Ei muuta kuin aloitetun työn purku ja homma alusta 3.5 koukulla. Vieläkin näyttää tiukemmalta kuim malli, mutta tuo on silmääni hyvän näköinen. Liian löysästä tulee mielestäni helposti epäsiistin näköistä jälkeä.
Tuota tehdessäni tuli mieleeni, että täällä voisi esitellä nuo mun silmukkamerkit, jotka minulla on tällä hetkellä jopa käytössä tuon puolipyöreän huivin teossa ja kerroslaskurin sit otin käyttöön tuon virkkaustyön seuraksi. Molempia käytän loppujen lopuksi aika harvoin, koska yleensä minulla on kopio ohjeesta, johon sit kynällä merkkaan tehdyt kerrokset ja silmukkamerkit on neuloessa lähinnä tiellä. Tuossa työn alla olevassa huivissa toistetaan samaa mallikertaa 6 kertaa ja se on tässä 4. vihjeessä sellainen, että toistetaan aika paljon samaa, mutta ei ihan kuitenkaan, joten nyt tämän vihjeen osalta tuli tuntu, että joskohan ottaisin silmukkamerkit käyttöön.

Hide and Sheepiltä ja nuo on siis tehty minun toiveiden mukaisesti. Kerroin siis, että haluan hopeisen tietyn sorttisen lukon ja sit ison helmen, joka näkyy siinä ja siinä kuvassa ja sit pienet valkoiset, joita on käytetty yhdessä toisessa laskurissa ja mustat helmet, jotka on... Hyvin se onnistui, ennen tekemistään lähettivät minulle kuvat sähköpostilla, että jos oikein viestini ymmärsivät, niin tässä on kuvat niistä helmistä, mitä sinä haluat. Tuo on siis melkeinpä rannekoruksi käyvä kerroslaskuri ja huomatkaapa, että siinä on sellainen pieni koukku, mihin nuo kaikki 6 silmukkamerkkiä saa roikkumaan, jos ne ei ole käytössä.
I could not resist; I started to crochet the tablecloth, which pattern was included in the newest Diana Virkkausmaailma magazine; it is the pattern #3. I think it will suit perfectly to one of my rooms, which style is kind of old fashioned. When I started this I realized I crochet quite tightly; I have never thought about that since I usually use same kind of Finla crocheting yarn and same hook. This time I wanted to have something bit shiny and I bought mercerized cotton called Novita Kotiväki, though I am not huge fan of Novita. On the label they recommended the 1.5 – 2.0 hook and according to pattern I should use 2.0 – 2.5 hook. The yarn used on the pattern was a bit heavier than Kotiväki. So, I took 2.0 and started; the result was good looking but small. :) I changed to 3.5 and now it is much better though it is still tighter than in the pattern picture.
With this tablecloth I have my row counter bracelet in use and it came to my mind I could show those to you. In addition to it I have also 6 needle hugger markers. All of those are from Hide and Sheep. I made a custom order; it was quite fun to explain I would like to have silver plated lobster claw and the big pearl used in the bracelet named… And then I would like to have same kind of small white pearls which are used the other one and bigger black pearls which are used in the another… After that long mail I got a response with pictures of all of those pearls etc. They wanted to be sure they had understood my request correctly. They had. :) Just notice, there is a small loop where I can keep my stitch markers when those are not in use.
I have to admit I use these quite seldom. Usually I have copy of the pattern where I can mark which rows I have already done and I do not need stitch markers either. However, the Anniversary Mystery Shawl’s Clue 4 contained 6 repetition (I modified this to be a half circle) and in one repetition there are same kind of parts; I thought now it is better to use stitch markers, since then it is easier to follow whether I have used correct amount of stitches after each repetition.
